I did some searching and all the info I found was guided hunts. Could anyone provide some links or info on the subject.
There will be 3 of us, all retired military and fairly experienced hunters. We haven't had the chance to hunt together since '94 due to various reasons. I would like to put together a DIY hunt (can't afford a guided hunt) in Saskatchewan or Alberta for deer.
Any info will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

In Saskatchewan a non Canadian must use the services of an outfitter. In Alberta you need to use the services of an outfitter or have an Alberta resident as a hunter host.

Thanks for the replies. Didn't know a guide was required, that explains why no info for a DIY hunt.
That brings up another point. An out of stater in Wyoming needs a guide or state resident to hunta wilderness area. Not so here in Colorado. I guess the wilderness is wilder in Wyoming.
Guess I'll have to hit the lottery.
Again thanks for the help.

Yep you will need an outfitter to hunt in Canada ...I have hunted Alberta twice and Saskat twice ..my preference is Alberta ..you can visit my web site at www.thereevesbuck.com and look under "links" and find the web site to the outfitter I use ...he only hunts 6 hunters per year ...I will be there next week ... good luck to you.
