6:46am tomorrow, first day out!
I'm heading out tomorrow morning to hunt with a small group of friends- muzzleloader opens tomorrow.
I'm a new hunter. My closest companion for this hunt will be a Traditions Pursuit .50 inline ML, with 85 grains of FFG Triple Se7en pushing a 300gr Hornady hollowpoint in a crush-rib sabot. I have a 3-9 Bushnell scope sighted in for 35 yards.
It's probably too late to do anything about it, but what will I wish that I'd brought into the field with me? Conditions are cold (around freezing) and rainy. I'll be still-hunting or stand hunting. I do plan to dress in layers, hat, scarf, glove-mittens, etc.
