I DIDNT SHOOT IT!! he did!!
I took my nephew out on the last day of the Indiana youth season... We waited for an hour or so, and then here came this huge doe. My nephew raised the gun, and the doe saw him, I told him to shoot fast before it ran away, and he shot. right through its heart! you couldnt have asked for a better shot. It just happened to be my nephews first deer. Well in the following days, everyone started questioning me about the shot.... they said it was "too good of a shot for his first deer". I say BULL@#$#! haha... he shot it fair and square! I just happen to know how to sight in a gun perfectly. I do it for EVERYONE in my family except my brothers. So all I can say is I KNOW THE TRUTH, and so does my nephew, and i think its funny haha...

Just tell them the truth! They are jealous!!! Plain and simple! I too have a fifteen year old nephew that I have been taking out hunting also. Last year he shot his first deer, an eight point buck! He also had a perfect heart shot on him the same as you. My gun and my ammo. Kids can be good right off the bat or they can be just plainlucky too. My nephew took his first two shots at his buck at only fifty yards with my remington 870. When he took his second shoot the gun was still pointed up in the air from when he was trying to work the pump! Then I grabed the barrell and told him to calm down and aim good. The third shot was right on, Not sure if it was him or not but the deer was dead and it was the best experiance I have ever had! Why anyone would want to down play a kid is just plain bad!!!
