RE: favorite hunting literature
My favorite are the compilations of Russel Annabel's short stories. I have yet to read a hunting/outdoor book that I enjoy more- although I enjoy Patrick F. McManus just as much. Annabel's books are available from Safari Press. Alaskan Adventures is a good one.

Lamar Underwood's Teddy Roosevelt "On Hunting".
This is a must read for every big-game hunter. I read it about a year ago, andI will probablyhit the library this week and check it out again.

Looked him up. He has one book for 400 and another for 540. Steep. I don't think I can afford to get hook on him.

Getting ahold of one of his books can be tricky though because Safari Press will do a run of them maybe once or twice a year is all, so not many go into circulation.
I promise you won't be dissapointed if you order Alakan Adventures.
This is from Safari Press's website:
"Russell Annabel was one of America's most outstanding and gifted outdoor writers; in fact, Ernest Hemingway said Annabel was "the finest outdoor writer" that he had ever read—an endorsement most writers can only dream about!"
They seem to have some in stock now:
