Do you guys wash your hunting parkas? I just bought a decent one and was wondering if that is something to throw in the wash as well.
you betcha..
i don't put mine in dryer though..
if you don't it start to smell like everything else..
i do as farmcntry stated..
don't vacum seal, but good idea.. throw in my earth scent when putting in bags..

You can find any number of homebrew descenting spray recipes , and adding baking soda to the rinse cycle will also help

I wear the old school Mackinaw's (jacket and pants, you know the red and black checkered ones [8D])and or else a pair of fleece pants over long johns and a fleece parka. I find the main thing, like many above stated, is to hunt the wind.

I shower with Knight & Hale fresh earth shower gel. My clothes, including the towels I will use during hunting season are washed in fresh earth laundry detergent and stored in sealed bag with fresh earth scent wafer. When I dry off, my towel even smells like fresh earth. Arm & Hammer deodorant and take scent eliminators with me to my stand. I also carry a fresh earth scent wafer and hang it in the stand with me, along with attractant during rut to help mask any odors during the day. So far, so good!
