#1

I would like to know what the minimum poundage a bow must be in illinoisto use for deer hunting according to law. If I can pull it back I may start deer hunting with a bow.( If not i better start working out.
lol)

Next time you might want to post something like this is the archery section. I believe that it is different in different states. Everything that I have ever heard is 45 lbs. My wife can pull back 45 lbs...it isn't very hard. However, for long distance shots, 45lbs may not be strong enough.

This is from your DNR hunting regulations. "For a long, recurve or compound bow the minimum draw weight is 40 lbs somewhere in a 28 inch draw length."
So your minum draw weight is 40 lbs. I don't quite get that 28 inch draw thing though. You could almost take that as you have to have at least a 28 inch draw to hunt with a bow in your state. That can't be right though can it?
Call your DNR and ask them.
