Anyone else ever hunt here or know anything about the place? I am considering a hunt here for my son (13 Yr old) and I for deer and hogs. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks!

I havn't been there but I hear it's way over hunted and that great anymore. Do your home work before you spend you hard earned money. Also stay away from a place called DeerField Plantation in St. George S.C..

Stay away.Going there would be the equivalentto lighting a couple of hundred dollar bills on fire and flushing them down the toilet.

Went there one year because my buddies booked a hunt at the Sportsmans Show. Place is a joke. We actually left early. Now on the contrary, I know a guy that has been there twice and shot deer and seemed to enjoy himself. I, however, have heard more bad than good.

Run a s far away as you can. I was the manager there for a very brief period, ten years agao. Not very , shall I say, scrupulous. I couldn't take the less than honest approach. Overhunted, overbooks opening day especially, and plays favorites to the clients in the big lodge. Island Plantation is just a part of it, for less money, and even less chance of doing any good. I could say much more, but I have to try to be civil.[:'(]
