RE: For a good time go here!
For a lot of those folks its an issue of empowerment. They want the power to impose their agenda on others. In this instance, its pretty crazy. I mean, hell, they could be off working with orphans, volunteering in homeless shelters, driving the elderly back and forth to clinics, or even serving abroad in the Peace Corps. But no, they would rather spend their time harassing hunters, picketing companies that do animal testing, or running around harassing people who are wearing fur. And why not, in many of their minds, a human life is no different from a deer's.

RE: For a good time go here!
Again, just like anything else, we have a group of whiners who won't put their money where their mouth is.
Like you said, LCC, these individuals could easily be out spending their time and money volunteering, spaying & neutering strays, and raising herds ofanimals in a safe and nurturing environment. Seriously, if animal suffering bothers you that much, go to your local beef farmer, and give him .90 centson thepound for his angus cattle that are off to slaughter, then take them to your farm and let Ol' Betsy live out her years in the friendly confines of your own property. While you're out, stop at Purdue or the livestock auction and buy some chickens and pigs at the going rate.Swing by Century21 and buy a nice lot with a fence, and put your new animal friends therein. If that's too much, just bust out that moldy checkbook and donatesome of yourhard-earnedto companys developing soy-meat alternatives. No, these Wendy Whiners would rather cry and moan onlineabout somebody shooting a deer, or stop by the fur coat store for 15 minutes at a demonstration against mink coats and yell at people who have probably nevereven seen a live mink for buying a fur coat. Whoopity doo.Besides, that's a whole lot easier than raising chickens or actually getting off one's lardy behind and doing something productive or gainful. Seriously, if hunting bothers these people so bad, this is a free country with plenty of privately-owned real estate available. Go buy yourself some prime hunting ground and post it. Nahh, that costs money and takes work. That's the problem with people. They're all talk, no action. Nobody ever wants to walk the walk. I can respect a person who stands up for what they believe in. If you're an animal rights activist, and you buck up a chunk of change for a farm where you raise livestock to prevent their slaughter, I can respect that. If you volunteer 10-20 days a year at the no-kill shelter, good. Buy a 10,000 acre Texas ranch and fence it off - No Hunting or Trespassing. It's your right, and I respect that. Buy a lake - No Fishing. Again, that's your right and I respect it. Just don't sit there and bash hunters and hunting when we've done more for whitetail, elk, bear and turkey populations than animal rights activists ever have. Most of those morons don't realize that. They always take the lazy route. They go vandalize a kill shelter, scowl at somebody eating a hamburgerorgo online and talk about how mean hunters are. It's a zero-sum game, really. I quit wasting my breath arguing with people like that, or even worrying about what they think or what they're doing. I know that as long as I have a bow or gun, and as long as there's a wild deer left on this planet, I'll be hunting, regardless of what they do or accomplish. That's all I need to know. |

RE: For a good time go here!
alright, it's time from another 2 cent from Travis. I want y'all to think bout this; Okay, if they think that we are at the same level as animals, and they think animals have "rights" (every time I hear 'animal' and 'rights' in the same scentence i kill 20 of somethin'), then there MUST be all other sorts of animals who are "guilty" of "murderinga fellow animal", such as The Bear, The Mountain Lion, The Wolf, ect. These predetors rely on meat, which means they are "murderers" just as much as we are. So why should they not be critisized by these fools? why shouldnt their homes get burnt down and picket lines at their dining areas? there's plenty of grass around they could eat! why not eat that? why shouldnt they be "presecuted" for "animal harrassment"? oh, wait, everyone settle down and be quiet, Mr.Kodiac H.Bear is taking the stand. Secondly, we are smarter than vegetarians. Well obvious we are, we have a little thing called common scence and respect, but it is also ascientific fact. Protein (which happens to be plentiful in meat) is vital to cognitive reasoning and development. Cant argue with the facts... -Travis- |
RE: For a good time go here!
ORIGINAL: CtHunter8 haha. "why do we need to kill" it says on there, TO EAT!! I have no respect for vegetarians. They're all a little wacky. -Travis- My sister has been for the past 7 years. She just simply doesn't like to eat meat. She used to go fishing with me when I was younger, we used to shoot bows askids, andshe has been surrounded by hunting her whole life. Now as we have grown older, she doesn'treally enjoy the sight of the dead deer hanging in our tree, but sheunderstands why we hunt and how it helps the species. The other is my bro in law. He was a vegetarian when he first married one of my sisters (He no longer is). He did simply as part of a diet. We go fishing, he used to squirril hunt, and talks hunting with us when hes over. Now don't get me wrong at all, I am in no way trying to support these "animal lovers". Those guys on that site are IDIOTS and I in now way support or understand their logic. They are tree hugging wack jobs that don't understand how hunting is actually GOOD for the animals they care so much about. |
RE: For a good time go here!
I give more credit to the vegetarians who are against hunting, then the ominvores who are also against it. At least they can back up their argument with actions. Although, given that most of them are also enviromentalists, they are a little short sited not considering the concern for the environment that hunting creates in its participants. And to me, it is more humane to give an animal the oportunity to live a free life and die the way they have for 200 000 years then to coop it up in a pen untill it is ready for slaughter.

RE: For a good time go here!
I say its about time for another frontal assult? What do ya say lethalconnection and wisebow? You flank em on the hunting side, and I will on religion side to side track?
Just kidding. I don't like to use scripture to cause pain. Thats the reason I went for pure witnessing in the end. |
RE: For a good time go here!
hey bigcountry,I admire your knowingness of the Bible. I myself am I man of God also, and I use the Bible to back up everything. all thoise wackjobs are a little weird, how dare they call my life "murderin". Oh well, we'll just continue to eat meat and BE HEALTHY and keep on livin the American Dream. they can all stay in the city.
