Man, I love to hunt but inAug. I just don't know if I could do it. It was 102 today I now telling what the heat index. If the rattlesnakes don't get you the mosquitos will. lol

i hunted in south carolina in august a few years back and its the last time i do that. it was so hot and sticky and just plain miserable. plus the deer were filled with ticks and by the time i found my deer about 4 hours after the shot the majority of the meat was no good. it just wasnt worth it for me. now its nice to get a velvet buck if thats what your after but if i cant use the meat i dont need the rack.

Even up here in October I find the weather as not being the best
at times. And those darn blow flies seem to get to the deer the
moment it hits the ground.

Sept 16th in Wi. Hope to god it aint as hot as it has been this last week.
