The buck I've wanted with one horn
Well, today I finally stuck a big boy of the area. He came through at 0700 this morning. The problem was he had his full rack on one side only, and the other was broken off. The brow tine was a "split version" with two points sticking out. The brow tine on the broken side had one point and the main beam snapped off. His intact beam was 7.5 inches from line of center. So he must have had about a 15" spread. He would have been the nicest buck/rack I've arrowed. What I'll remember is that I took one look at the new area and said to myself "this is the place in the morning". It worked out on the second try there. 15" may not sound like much, but I've scouted/hunted this area hard and this is the biggest buck I've seen. I am happy!

Congrats, a buck killed is a buck killed. One of the nicest antelope i've ever seen killed was laying with his butt facing us and his head turned broadside. when he turned his head away from us his right antler was covered by the brush. the guy made a great shot only to get to the animal and realize that he only had the left antler. but it was still a story to kill and another great outdoor adventure.
