RE: CVA buck horn
Have scoped a bunch of Buckhorns and sighted them in for folks:Several of these guys and a girl bought them on my recommendation.Have also floated the barrels ona few.The Buckhornis a super accurate muzzleloader.
Isight the guns in with either the .44 caliber 240 grain XTP bullet in the short sabot or the 250 grain SST bullet in theblack sabot unless the owner wants to use something else.Lots of deer and hogs have beenkilledwith the guns i prepped. One guy got a six by six elk with his in November.

RE: CVA buck horn
CVA buckhorn is supposed to be like the old staghorn. I had a staghorn and it liked 100 grains pyrodex p with a 300 grain XTP, 80 grains pyrodex p with 295 grain powerbelt or 70 grains pyrodex p with a 385 or 410 grain hornady great plains conical. It was an excellent shooting rifle with these loads.
IMO, i prefer powerbelts over sabots big time. I hate having to fight the sabot down. If you use powerbelts, go with the 300 grain powerbelt platinum with 2 pellets ' 100 grains"
You'll probably learn later that its easier to use loose powder so you can adjust/ fine tune your loads.
Limbsaver recoil pad is something i would invest in. Especially with that light weight rifle.
