We always play gags, usually tasteful but sometimes ugly. I relayed some on a earlier post but I will recap.
Happened to me the cabin owner if you believe it..LOL. One night I turned in earlier the boys played some cards and had some pops. I am know as the TP man, never leave home without. (Usually check first thing in the am as well) anyway they thought it would be funny to remove my TP. Luck would have I never checked it in the am and planned maybe bad camp coffee. It caused the lower end oil to bubble and needed to change it right now down the trail. Not thinking I did my business and looked for my TP....not there. Now what pants around my ankles, 2 miles from the truck, you no what hanging from my lower end. I did what I had to (since no leaves, just snow on the ground) Used my gloves...yeap my gloves. Pretty darn cool with no gloves up here. To get back I put the soiled gloves in the ring leaders pack for a little thank you and reminder.
Newbie gag, my buds bro-in law came on his first trip with the boys. He asked the usual questions and hung with a buddy the first few days. Decided on the 3rd day he would hunt alone. Anyway the night before at the card table he was asking how do I tell buck vs doe from the sign. We told him the norm and then matter o factly I go in to the best way to tell is smell and taste the urine....huh. All agreed, you guys are crazy, I ain't doing that. OK that is cool and I thought it was done. Couple of hands later, ok what does it smell like..bucks musking and does kind of sweet...little later dare I ask Taste he stated "Bucks taste like wood or musky" and doe's "blan like a bannana". Again you guys are crazy echoed out of his mouth. Well first day on his own we decided we would meet for lunch just to make sure he was ok and cool with being on his own. Down the trail he comes and says "you guys are full of crap it is aweful and all tastes like piss to me." Well we roared, then he realized he had been had. He is a reg now and every year we bring that up "Any buddy need a bananna....how bout you!!!"
Tradition is you miss you drink 2 oz of scotch at the cabin warm and slow. To me I say I miss just to drink my scotch, but other it is a chore.
