Got to this link and read: http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting/regulations/licenses_and_permits.asp

If you are over 16 you will not qualify for the Junior Hunting License. If you are over 16 you will need the following: the Nonresident Bear, Deer, Turkey License, the Nonresident Archery License, andeither the Nonresident yearly license or the Nonresident three-day Permit. So, if you are over 16 it will cost you either $165or $125 depending upon whetheryou want to hunt three days or more. Hope youkill a few!!!

Nonresident Bear, Deer, Turkey License to hunt bear, deer and turkey statewide, required in addition to hunting license or lifetime license Age 16 years or older
$60.00

Age 12–15 years old
$15.00

Under 12 years old
$12.00

Nonresident Archery License to hunt statewide during archery season if hunting with a longbow, recurve, or compound bow
$25.00

Nonresident License to hunt statewide (16 years or older)
$80.00

Nonresident 3-Day Trip License to hunt statewide. Must be 3 consecutive hunting days; no Sunday hunting; 16 years or older
$40.00

I used to live in VA. Beach just outside of Pungo and I have to tell you that you have struck gold. There are a lot of good deer there and if the area has a lot of woods even better. The area is all agracultua and the hunting pressure is very lite as with all Va. land owners just won't let you hunt or the land is all leased. Scout smart hunt a lot and you will do great. Mike
