I can remember about 36 of the 50 or so deer over the past 15 years of hunting in VA. The big ones and the first are always fond memories. At least once a year I try to count but there is always one or two that get left out.

I wish I could, but I'm almost 50 and can't remember all the deer I've harvested through the years. I do vividly remember the wall hangers I got though. When I lived in Va, we could get two per day and always hunted bow, muzzleloader and regular gun seasons and have taken many deer in each of the seasons. I really do wish I could remember them all though. In fact, I wish I could remember a lot of things.......LOL

I used to be able to, but I'm closing in on 50 deer, and it gets difficult. I do keep a list, and when I look at that, date, weapon, location, sex, ect, I remember all the details. I could never list them all in my head, but I can remember each one after consulting my list, even what else I saw that day, how the shot went down, ect. Always good for a snowy winter afternoon, recallingg the those first handful of deer, when you were young and nothing else really mattered come the fall.

I am one away from 40 and i can pretty much remember them all. I do have a list that helps for some more of the details, but there is a mental snapshot for each deer.

I do something similar to virginia. I make it a point to take a picture of every deer that i kill and put it in a scrap book. That way, i can go back and recall the memories of the hunt.

Like farmhunter I have kept records and I have taken 96 deer. I probably can't remember but half of them. There has to be something special about the hunt before you can recall the experience such as size, weather, company, place, weapon, etc. All were significant at the time or I would not have let loose of the string or trigger. I hunt less and let more pass as I get older though. I am getting more content in just watching them now.
