Default RE: If you keep track of the moon in hunting, fishing, etc.

Ah the moon....most agree that is affects game but to what extent and how? Here is my 2 cents, it is just what I have observed on deer. The moon has the greatest impact in summer when their hormones are lowest. I have not seen any link of moon phase to movement except that durring a full moon the deer seem to be more nocturnal....I have no idea why as they can see better in the pitch black than I can without my glasses. The position of the moon does seem to make a difference. When it is directly overhead they move more, especially in the summer. When glassing deer then I try to go out when the moon almost directly overhead in the evenings and early mornings. I cannot believe how many more deer you see then. This is all else being equal, as IMO the weather and breeding activity take precident over it. In the fall I have yet to find a certain link, just too many things affecting them, leaf fall, hunting pressure, rut, weather, etc....Whats everybody else think?
