I'd have to say my biggest fault is being impatient on stand, especially when the weather is cold. I get bored when nothing is happening in the woods after 2-3 hours. I'm in a constant battle to persevere or move to another location.

During the whole deer season and most of the year, I'm guilty of planning my whole vacation time and everything around deer season and spring gobbler. There are worse vices in life though, and that's what I tell the family.

Until this past season I had a problem. I would not rush the shot but just the opposite. I would wait for that "perfect" shot that never came. I have let a few good bucks go b/c I was waiting for a better shot. The one in my avatar was not a perfect shot. He was trotting in pretty fast.

I pee too much!! I do not feel that I drink that much before hunting but I seem to pee all the time.

The most valuable lesson i have been taught which i had to learn the hard way a few times is be ready at all times. Expect the unexpected.
