My second year out with my bow I was walking out along the edge of a field, just as the sun was going down. There was a group of small deer with 3 small 6 pointers in the group. me and my buddy just stopped in our tracks. They didn't spook and 2 of the 6's walked within 10-15 yards of us, my hear was pumping big time. Probably one of the coolest experiences I have had out in the woods to date. They finally smelled us and snorted and ran off, but it was pretty neat watching them. You could tell they were just wondering what the heck we were.

One day I was walking in a HUGE field out in Texas dressed all in black with my Matthews- and sure as heck I thought I was in too deep with the moonshine but what do I see- but a 180lb buck strolling right up to me. I took a step back-set my sights- and put a laser to him. I have never seen something go down so fast. The problem was that I was by myself with my poodleout there and only had a small swiss army knife. So I cut off the head so I could mount that bad boy and had to come back for the rest. Later that night when I returned the body looked like it had been attacked by a cat of some sort! No worries, I cleaned it up real nice and ended up with enough meat for the season. Never know when they'll sneak up on you- the question I wonder is -who was hunting that day. Me or that huge buck!!!!!!

I'm sure you felt like a real tough guy shooting that deer at point blank and then massacring it with a swiss army knife. What do you know? You probably shoot everything you can while you drive thru the hills of Wyoming. I am sure you have a lot of mounts and read alot of crap online like this stuff. i dont understand, but what you need to understand is you just posted on a site with a lot of very knowledgable and ethical hunters that you went out dressed in black not to be confussed with camo, all tanked up on moonshine, without a real knife, shot a buck and cut its head off.
