strange antlers
we have a buck that has been seen off and on for a couple of years around our farm that has a stange rack. the antlers go straight up aprx. 1 1/2 - 2 feet and have no brow tines. they fork out at the ends. do your think we should take him out because of genetics. at this point no one has wanted to waste their seasons buck tag on this guy. we have very good genes in the area other wise. any educated ideas?

Not want to waste a tag? A buck like that 2 foot high! I would take him. He's a unique animal and I think that he a very respectable trophy, If I saw him I woulda took him, just my opinion. OF course ultimetly, when the time arises, you will know, you will pull the trigger or you won't...but you will know.

RE: strange antlers
I would take him for two reasons:
1) A unique rack makes a GREAT trophy
2) To remove him from the gene pool
Just think about the stories the rack would create! There would be a lot of discussions started with him on your wall.
