Nice buck, It looks like a smaller version of DD's, narrow and starting to go high. And it sucks at how long some of the guys take to do mounts. who's nice buck is that in the background? Congrats!!!

Thanks. He is a different rack because he goes very high but very narrow. When I shot him I had a wider 8 point with short points come out with him. I was trying to get the wider one but didn't want to hit brush. This one gave me a perfect shot at 13 yards from the bottom of the tree and I am glad I shot him instead of the other.

The other head is from a hunt about 25 years ago. One of our family friends shot it and didn't want to get it mounted so my dad did. He slaughters mine in rack but quaility of the mount there is no comparison. I want to get him redone some day. Just have to shoot a big buck with small horns for a cape. Here is some pics. I think the horns are set to far back, what do you think?

The first buck is a super nice buck I would get it mounted to. The secound buck horns do look weird. I have a big 10 pt that my great grandpa shot and it looks good. Down the road I would get it done. The ears are in a different postiton.

Great buck. Looks very nice.I would have mounted him too.
As for the other mount, it looks like the taxidermist set his horn at too much of a back angle, nice buck though.
