Generally, I alternate between a .25-06 custom built by my father using a Springfield .30-06 action and a .243 in Winchester Model 70 Featherweight. Both are scoped witha Leupold VariX-III 3.5-10x 40 mm. I prefer the .25-06, but sometimes use the .243 just to put it to use. This year, however, I used a .30-06 that my father sporterized to gain some field experience with this rifle in preparation for a hoped for cow elk hunt in October. I took a doe and a buck in Oklahoma this past season with this .30-06. The .30-06 is well more than needed to dispatch these deer -- using 180 grain Remington CoreLokt bullets --but it didn't unduely damage the meat either.

For many years, I used my Remington 11-87 12 gauge, topped with a Leupold 1-4x scope here in NY. This year, we were allowed to use rifles. My go to rifle for many years has been a Remington Model7 7mm-08, with a Leupold 2.5-8x scope. I let my girlfriend use that this year, and I used a Browning Stainless Stalker in .30-06, with another Leupold 2.5-8x scope.
Muzzleloading season sees me using a 209x50 Encore, with a 3-9x Leupold scope.

Usually several different ones but this year I took Eight with my 700 Remington 270. All one shot kills. Ranges from 70 yards to 250 yards. I missed one going for a neck shot.
