I had several people guiding for me while I was outfitting. I allowed them to hunt cull bucks off. I had one ole boy shoot a nice 1/1/2 old 10 pointer. It will make your vision get a little blurry.

However, when you're disappointed to shoot a big buck, you're not a hunter. When you shoot "cull" bucks, you're not a hunter. I can't imagine shooting a buck "because I have to".
i'm confused on this one...now i can see why the guy wouldnt be as happy as he should be, that's alot of money to pay for a deer....but i cant understand why someone would think"you're not a hunter" just because it's a cull deer.....i think that makes you more of a hunter....to pass up bucks of a lifetime to get the inferior ones out, it takes alot of strength and patience .......not that this man showed any, lol......but i for one would have a hard time watching monster bucks walk by just to shoot the lil guy....so i applaud all the hunters out there managing deer herds.

"So he wouldn't a cull?"

I think that answers it right there on whether he did it on purpose or not

That was freaken funny man, I had a friend do something like that on purpose (not near that big or costly). His cousin took him hunting on his lease and said he could onlytake a doe b/c of the management plan (they were only suppose totake only onetrophy buck). Well my friend was sitting in the stand and out walked an awsome buck, and witha smile on his face he took it home (not to sure how christmas dinner with the family went though).

Why the hell would anyone pay that much for a deer? That's ridiculous
