When is a good time to look for sheds? Where are good areas to look for thema too!

From now until when ever. If you get a good january thaw its a great time to go. Go to anyplace where the deer have wintered.

On the ground and a huntin dog of any kind helps. My old lab ,bless his soul alway found some for me

I like to look where the deer are.

I try to focus on areas where a sudden start/stop/jump may take place, like creek/fence crossings, or low lying limbs overhead.lots of walking works the best.

Start shed hunting right now. Me and some others have already seen plenty of bucks (smaller ones) with only one side on them. I don't like shed hunting when there's a small amount of snow on the ground......2 weeks ago me and a friend went out with light snow on the ground and didn't find a thing. 1 week later we hit the same spot (no snow on the ground this time) and found a 150 class 10 pt. antler from previous year. Basically, when there was snow on the ground, we both walked right past the antler!
