RE: Shed Hunting
From now until when ever. If you get a good january thaw its a great time to go. Go to anyplace where the deer have wintered.

Bedding areas and fence rows are where I look.

RE: Shed Hunting
I like to look where the deer are.:D
I try to focus on areas where a sudden start/stop/jump may take place, like creek/fence crossings, or low lying limbs overhead.lots of walking works the best.;) |
RE: Shed Hunting
Start shed hunting right now. Me and some others have already seen plenty of bucks (smaller ones) with only one side on them. I don't like shed hunting when there's a small amount of snow on the ground......2 weeks ago me and a friend went out with light snow on the ground and didn't find a thing. 1 week later we hit the same spot (no snow on the ground this time) and found a 150 class 10 pt. antler from previous year. Basically, when there was snow on the ground, we both walked right past the antler!
