Default Ducks...or Deer?

Just read this report from todays duck hunt on another site I belong to and thought everyone might get a kick out of it...

"Well, if this morning didn't take the cake. I'm out at Black river, the place is flooded deep. I have 6 decoys floating, strung together so I don't have to wade deep to get them, just the first and pull the sting. I'm sitting on a clump of brush behind some cover when I hear what sounds like someone paddling a canoe or something. I stand up and look over brush and see 4 deer swimming across the river. One of them swims between the decoys and gets tangled in the string between them and panics. Now she's dragging 6 decoys with her and doesn't know which way to go. Finally she gets where she can stand and jumps free. I had some 00's in the car, wished I'd of had them on me.

Good thing he didn't have his LEAD 00 on him, would have been illegal.

On a goose hunt this year I was hunting over water and saw 3 does swim close by across the lake, didn't get in my decoys but was neat to see.

I live in WV where the Potomac river seperates us from MD. Our rifle season opens on Monday of Thxgiving week and Md opens the Sat right after Thxgiving. You can go down to the river and watch the deer swim accross to WV on Mds opening morn. I imagine it works the other way also but Im not around that neck of the woods on Mon morn.

I've killed a deer down by the river(no he didnt live in a van) that was soaking wet on a dry day, so I imagine he just crossed.

Oh and here's a dump joke for you ----why do all of the trees on the WV side of the Potomac lean towards Md.---

because MD sucks.

I know its corny.
