Since hunting is a big part of my life, I always seem to be getting ready for the next season. I love everything about it and it always plays a role in my day to day life.

Its a year around thing for me! I small game hunt, shed hunt, just keep an eye out on my land. I plant plenty of trees each year, for the animals, all kinds of stuff! So its year around. I also get to bow hunt for 2 months before gun season which helps tie up some loose ends! I also get to hunt for a month after gun season with my bow and it kinda gives me an idea what still around! Good Luck!!!

I believe it has alot to do with your confidence, which I call faith. Therefore I strive to walk in faith at all times. I mostly hunt at a WMA which is closed in the off season. I don't need to buy any extra supplies so I simply...
1. Strive to walk in faith and sharpen my senses.
2. Practice on my bow .
3. Make sure rifle is shot in to perfection.
4. Stay in shape all year.
5. Practice safety in everything I do.
6. Read my Florida Fish and Game every month.
7. Keep communicationg with my hunting friends.

Year round for me as well. I have been in the field doing some scouting after season wrapped up. I try to get out when they still are the hunting season (or fall) patterns, as once they yard up scouting is finished till after the snow is gone here. During the dog days of winter; I will walk areas that I intend on hunting to get a better handle on the lay of the land (if required), do some greasing of the wheel (talking with landowners), shed hunting, evaluation on equipment, techniques, area, etc. Then once the fawns have dropped and the antlers showing I hit the field for scouting, practice with my equipment, etc. Summer, scouting ramps up but is mostly distance via spotting scope and I really bare down on practicing with my equipment for the up coming season. I also scout and conitnue to practice with my equipment during the hunting season in the fall.I often find myselfin different locations as the cycle's of deer change, so continuing to scout and be open to a move are requirements.
