I've called them both although I'm pretty sure I refer to them as horns in a hunting situation (ex. " .....and I could see part ofhis horn sticking up from behind the log").Never knew anybody that was anal enough to care what they were called--unless it was at a science lecture.

You're right hillbilly, but there is a difference between horns and antlers.

I call them both but more often i call them horns. It is easier to say and it really doesn't matter all that much.

antlers are shed and horns are not. Pronghorns only shed the outer layer. the horn is still there, not completely shed.

Man you guys are uptight. Does it matter if a guy calls them antenna's as long as you know whathe mean's. Im sure we all use some slang that in certain circles is considered completely incorrect.

They are without a doubt antlers.
But itdepends on my mood and the situation whether I call them horns or antlers. If I think someone is mentally unstable, and I risk sending him over the edge of sanity by using the term "horns".....Well, I would probably give him a break and call them antlers.

I'm with you here DB48!
To get bent out of shape over "horns," or "antlers," is just way too nit-picky!
Horns, antlers, antenna's! It don't make no never-mind to me! It'll start worrying me when someone starts calling them "thing-ee's!"
