Well, almost three months of bowhunting season and two firearms seasons thus far this year doesn't seem to have hurt the southeastern Illinois deer population. I went for a short drive on Christmas day and saw at least a dozen, including a 12 pointer, and that was in open country in the middle of the day. During a similar drive the day after Christmas, I stopped counting after the 20th deer.

I was seeing deer up until Christmas Eve. I havent seen one since.

There out there I shot one were I didn't see him all year.

I live in Ohio now, but I'm from Richland County. I own some land there and my parents live there. The deer were really moving over Christmas despite cold, wet, windy weather.
