I will be in Tennessee over Christmas and my brother and I have the opportunity to hunt a farm with an apple orchard on it, I think its about 100 acres. No one has hunted here at least with permission for sometime now. We have never been to this place and only have one day to go out.We're thinking go in about 9am and scout for a couple of hours and findour spots.I don't like doing it this way but we're not going to let this go opportunity pass by.

Question is should I hunt the fields or should I try to get back in the woods and catch them coming to the fields?

Bow or rifle thats a tuff one without knowing but Look for the food areas they are targeting it should be prettynoticable. Good Luck on gettin one

the land we hunt has a small orchard on it. hunt about 25-50 yards into the woods near it, wherever you can find a trial. that will be perfect for your afternoon hunt, the deer love it in those areas
