Default Need some more help please!!!!

Hello everyone, this is ceaser8 for those of you who don't know me I am the one that was telling about my "bigfoot encounter" or what ever it was. I was just going to update everyone that while bowhunting I haven't seen anything that scares me. Now on to a more important matter; My first question is: I have so far this year I have used Deer Cane, Apple scented mineral block, corn and Tink's 69. Can anyone tell me what works best for them? I have not had anything mess with the Cane, and Apple. But something is eating the corn and I just started using the tink's 69 so I don't know anything about that. WHat do you all think I should use? SECOND question, last night I was sitting in my stand and about 6 PM a nice 6 point walked out (it is the same one I was huntin last year) the problem was that he was too far out for a bow. He walked around and then went back into the woods. My question is, if this happends again what should I do? Should I do what I did and stay in my stand hating myself. Or should I play Rambo and try to sneak closer for a shot? It looks like he would come eat the corn around my stand but I suppose it will take a couple of weeks for then to smell it, RIGHT?

Ceaser8,

I would like to hear about your Bigfoot encounter! I posted a topic called, Deer and Bigfoot, not to long ago. Check it out.

As far as the deer I would stick to the Tink's sent it is proven and can and will bring deer in.

What I would suggest is placeing a Tinks sent bomb closer to your stand with in rang of your bow, should this fail use some bleats, or rattles. This can help in getting deer into range.

Anotner issue may be that your stand is to far from thier normal trail. if so bring your stand in closer.

Good luck!

KEEP HUNTING THE GREAT OUTDOORS & GOD ALIVE, PASS IT ON!

put corn out on a regulare basis, better yet use an automatic feeder.the deer will get used to it and come to it when it goes off.DO NOT hunt the feeder, just a trail that leads to it. I have used red and green apples to see which ones they like, tried red alone, green alone and mixed them. The green ones where the winners. Don't use tinks if it's not rut, you'll get the young bucks and scare away the does. If you see the big buck again use a soft dominate buck grunt to peek his curiosaty, if he starts walking to you, don't grunt again, if he seems to loose interest than grunt again.
GOOD LUCK and good hunting!

Hurry up and wait.

thanks for your help, I have thought about moving my stand closer but I am afraid to do it during the season, won't it scare the deer away making all that noise. And what is I move is and the deer then start eating my corn and I will be SOL. Well I will think on it. I might move it anyway. Thanks both of you.

Jered. I have posted the encounter on here before but i could probably tell you about it faster then I could find it on here.
Me and a friend was walking down my road that I used to live on, it was night and the moon was bright enough you could see the outline of things. This horse field was next to us and all of a sudden we seen the "THING" come up to the fence it was growling and yelling like a "monster" (not like a dog or something) I could see the out line and it was tall, had long hair all over the upper body, arms and scary as Hell. I never have been that scared in my life, as soon as that happen I got a cold chill down my back and I ran for a long and as hard as I could. I got home and thought for a long time about what it was and I ran every other kind of animal through my head and nothing fit the sound and look except Bigfoot. Now I have asked for some other ppls advice on here and they too haven't came up with anything of this kind. So then I got online and read other ppls stories and yes some.....uh most of them are fake and unreasonable. (they have a pic, but its never a clear one, they have hair samples but it could be someones pubic hair as far as we know) but the ones that intrested me and made sense where the ones that in some ways related to my story. He stinks, hate contact with ppl b/c in mine and theirs he was trying to scare them away and not hurt them like with me its like he was trying to scare me away, long hair, tall. Almost everything was the same. I don't fear him if I ever seen him b/c everything I have heard is that he is trying to scare you away and not harm you. The only one that was remotly close to him hurting someone was that he was picking up big rocks and throwing then at the ppl trying to scare then away. But I am more scared of seeing him then having an encounter. But that is my story, the friend that I was with never talks about that night and I don't like to fear of criticism.
