LOL ..wow NY you never cease to amaze me ... I use to have an X wife that nagged a lot ...traded her in for a bass boat .... I had to pay boot but STILL came on on the best end!

Look at it this way DD. You took him out and it didn't turn out like you would have wanted it to. The deed is done and it is your chance to really make a difference in this hunter’s life. C.I. deep down I know your right but it STILL just chaps my butt ..I mean this man is 34 years old for CHRIST sake ....plus I warned him about these two yearlings being around where he was hunting ..discribed them to him ... I hadseen them 4 or 5 timesbut again I am sure your right my friend ... I need to swollow this and try and explain to him WHY my butt is chapped ... but I doubt I will ever take him hunting again ...

Doc we all make new friends and hunting buddies and some work out and others never do. I sympathize about your situation.He can't take the bullet back and so I guess you probably won't take that person hunting again. One of the hardest things in life is getting a great hunting partner. I understand why you are upset but some things just need to be ended. Tell the guy where you are at and walk away........High road only way to go!

Call a game warden and ask about the legality of tracking wounded deer after dark with a light. If he says no, I will be man enough to concede that it is illegal. But I will never concede that it is unethical or that it endangers the homeless, night crawler hunters, escaped circus animals, etc.

Good idea. He's a bigger target so at least when you drop the hammer on Sasquatach you are less likely to hit the nightcrawler hunter down in the gulley behind him. But, if you are aiming up and miss, you may hit the tree hugger who has chained himself to that oldgrowth yellow pine.

But seriously, I am going to call a game warden and check on the legality of this.....I'll get back to you all whether I am right or wrong....

Please don't go Bigfoot hunting tonite NY.my friend and are are going night crawler hunting--they're so much easier when they're frozen.:D When the regulations speak of hunting hours ending..they're not talking about night crawler hunting hours as well are they? Yup, Better be sure
