Depends on what tree I decide to hunt from. I have this one swamp area I have had excellent luck in and I needonly climb about 7 feet off the ground to get into a nice cedar blind with excellent camoflauge. However, in another location I need to climb about 20 feet high to get up off the ground for a better view and out of a deer's sights. So, it varies depending on location.

i usually climb 20 to 25 ft up in the tree, or to the nearest cover.

I go as high as I need to get the shot and not trim anymore brush than necessary. Anywhere from 9 - 32 feet is where I've been.
