Most of Bama you can kill two a day, one buck and one doe or two does. Long season, it would be legal to kill over 200.

really? Why so many? We are only allowed 1 archery either sex, 1 buck regular season and 1 either sex muzzleloader.. with the opportunity of 2 doe permits in NY... so 5 total here.

Salty here in Alabama we are blessed (if your a hunter ..cursed if your a farmer) with a lot of deer. There are several counties that are projected by DNA to have over 50 deer per square mile although those counties for the most part are in south Alabama in the Black Belt area...we here in north Alabama have about 30 deer per sq mile as compared to a place like Alberta who has 1 deer per sq mile... that is one of the reasons our deer do not get that large body wise is because there is so much compitition for food and there is a lot of enter breeding (deer) ...

the "Black Belt" area is where the black dirt is ...the richer soil and where most the crops are raised in Alabama ...up north we have a lot of red clay ...but here is where most the cotton comes from.
