I talked to a game warden the other day while I was getting written up for having no life jacket in the boat.
I ask him as many questions as i could. He said in Florida if the crime is being done while you are in your vehicle you lose your vehicle as well and a 450 dollar fine.
We have a 5 inch spike rule here. I ask about that. He said if you honestly show the man at the gate and it was an accident for shooting one less than 5" your deer is simply confiscated. If you try to sneak it out...450 dollars.

Sad thing is crap like what happened to your uncle happens around here every day. I hate lazy/slob hunters. Only problem is, calling the game warden here does you no good. He MIGHT get back to you in a few days if your lucky.
