I CALLED HORNADY TECH. ABOUT SHOOTING THE 100 GR. HORNADY INTERLOCK SPIRAL POINT BULLET IN MY 257 WBY. VANGUARD SS WITH A 24 INCH BARREL COMPARED TO A 257 WBY. WITH A 26 INCH BARREL, ON HOW MUCH FPS I WOULD LOOSE, HE STATED 25 FPS EVERY 50 YDS. HE ALSO STATED A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK THEY WILL LOSSE MUCH MORE WHICH IS NOT THE CASE. JUST SOME INFO!

Post that in the gun forum they would probably like to hear it. Is that bad for your setup losing that much fps.

NO I THOUGHT I WOULD LOOSE MORE, MY RIFLE SETUP SHOOTS 3 SHOTS IN ONE HOLE GROUP AT 100 YDS. NOT BAD FOR A $700.00 RIG!

Not possible.No bullet has a ballistic co-efficient high enough to lose only 25fps every 50 yards.

Stubblejumper...I think thatPaddle was told by the Hornady Tech that he would lose 50 fps for each inch of less barrel length.Paddle either misunderstood or misprinted what he mean't to say.

RPL-The most likely explanation is that he didn't understand what he was being told,because what he posted makes no sense as is.
