Hornet scores again ( updated, pics)
I am stoked. Iharvested a nice mature Texas hill country 11 pointer
this evening.
Did some rattling, and he came right to me. 15 yd shot with my .22 hornet to the neck. Dropped him. He's a small rack 11 pointer with a lot of mass, specially for a Tx. hill country buck. He went 158 lbs on the hoof. Which is huge for a hill country buck. I estimate him to be 4 1/2 years old. he would never get any better than what he had. not that hes bad, just not a wide or long tine buck, but heavy. his tines are all worn down.
I,m stoked to say the least.
Got only one buck and one doe tag left for the season. gonna make some sausage this weekend for sure.
Will post a pic as soon as I can.

"Z" heck of a nice buck ... but I can't say I would ever shoot at a nice buck with any kind of a 22 but it obviously works well for you ... my Taxi called me yersterday and told me that the 10pt I shot last week had been shot in the back prior with a 22 mag ....
