I caught the fever. This morning I was going to sleep in, but I couldn't sleep. So I walked out to my stand and took one more morning with the bow. Next weekend is going to be awesome

I get buck fever every time I try to pull the trigger on a big game animal. Small game doesn't affect me as much because it is a little faster and really no time to think, just pull up and shoot. On my elk hunt this year, I had the fever, but I was able to keep it under control pretty easy. I had about a 500 yard stock to get within range, so I stopped every few steps to take a deep breath and calm my nerves. It worked pretty good and I got my elk. GOOD LUCK this year!!!
