hey guys i dont know about you but a 130gr does some damage... i have a Remington BDL 270. and i shoot 130 Rem. AccuTips out of it.. and let me tell you.. that is a dangerous combo for deer... the first deer i shot with it was at 311 yrds and i blew out both shoulders deer didnt have a chance just PLOP right on the ground.. i also got another doe at a closer range of 75 yrds and it did some massive damage.. dropped the deer in its tracks.. i was a little skeptical at first about using a lighter bullet but im not gonna shoot ne thing heavier unless im going after bigger game... and they are accuate little bullets...3 shots in that could fit in a quater at 150 yrds..


1st doe weighed 120 lbs
2nd doe 90 lbs

I'm responding to this without reading everyone's else's posts so I apologize if I repeat someone. Go with the 140 gr. due to the higher ballistic coeffecient. The 140 gr. sustains downrange energy and velocity better than the 130 gr. At extreme ranges, the 140 gr. will actually catch up with the 130 gr. or to be more accurate, the 130 gr. slows down and matches the 140 gr.
