Stupid acorns
I hunt in northern MI and ever since the acorns started falling i havent been seeing hardly any deer, i know everyone says to sit in the oak trees and you will see them but our whole land is almost all oaks and i hardly see anything, i was wondering if there was any bait that deer like better than acorns, ive tried corn and carrots, but they wont touch them and yes baiting is legal here.

Gotta wait til they suck them all up. It can get frustrating. If you anly had to get out of bed and walk 5 yds to food, you would too. As the rut kicks in they'll focus less on the acorns and more on those hot does. Good luck.

Calm down and don't worry about the acorn mast crop too much. Once an acorn drops, it doesn't take long for them to become unappealing to deer cause of worms. They'll only eat really nice acorns. That's why going into winter there's always a gazillion of them left laying on the ground.
I would concentrate first on first, sign. Second, trails. And then figure how funnels fit into the first two.
Are there any ag fields around? I'd bet if they're finished with the mast already - then they're in the corn or beans.
Yes they'll get nuts and be following, stalking, chasing and eventually mounting those does. But the does are still going to be at the food sources.
