Western NC outfitter
Hey Guys,
Can anyone recommend an outfitter or guide in Western North Carolina? I have to spend Thanksgiving up near Ashville and I would like to find somewhere to hunt. My wife just gave me the good news last night. I am staying at Fontana Village. Thanks for any ideas.

DONT KNOW OF ANY GUIDES IN THE AREA,,,BUT IF YOU GET A GAME LANDS BOOK FROM NC WILDLIFE YOU CAN LOOK UP MCDOWELL,POLK,RUTHERFORD AND BURKE COUNTYS AND FIND SOME GREAT HUNTING IN THESE ARES,,,,ASHVILLE IS IN BUNCOMBE CO. AND THE MORE MOUNTAINOUS AREAS ARE NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS THE OTHERS MENTIONED. THESE OTHER COUNTYS GAME LANDS ARE LESS THAN AN HOUR AWAY FROM ASHVILLE. BURKE AND RUTHERFORD COUNTYS HAVE THE MOST AND BIGGEST DEER. GOOD LUCK
