RE: rediculas
HA HA HA!! THIS (ATHOUGHT ONE OF THE DUMBEST), has been one of the most enjoyable posts I have read to date!! The guy is obviously not a hunter. I mean really....."EVERY deer has dropped in its track".....REALLY?? From what he would want you to believe, he has shot what, 50+ deer, didnt say it, but based on his conversations, thats what I would guess 50+, right?? Now PLEASE, anyone that has shot 50+ ANYTHING, and not had 1 animal wonded, all 100% perfect shots, and drop dead kills, please come foward. Geese, ducks, squirel, quail, doves, elk, turkey.....you name it. Sometimes even TRED BARTA misses. I dont believe for a second that this guy hunts, has ever hunted, or ever will hunt, and if hes does, with a 100% 'drop in tracks' record, he should have a tv show and get paid millions of dollars for doing it....but wait.....sponsors for tv didnt pay millions 50 yrs ago, so.....
Whatever!! |
RE: rediculas
BSTN,
Sometimes he hunts by just climbing a tree and sitting on a limb. Maybe it's a more accurate way of shooting. Since I've never tried it (because i'm an idiot) I don't know. Sounds reasonable though huh? Throw away those tree stands boys. The great Wallenda is going to show us all how to safely balance on a limb and safely shoot while dropping every deer |

oh he's prolly like the professor on Gilligans Island and made it out of sticks and leaves and powers it from lightning with his phone line being a string:D

RE: rediculas
Alright, alright boys. Let's just let the guy be for now. He's got a job ahead of him, pulling his foot out of his mouth and all.
But let's remember to conduct ourselves in a decent manner also. That last page (4) had some comments posted up that don't need to be there. I don't think comments like, "run down mamma's......" & " teensy weensy...." would be spoken in front of family at the dinner table, and if you think about it, you know there's no useful purpose of using those comments here either. If you want to grow some more rack around here, and keep that sort of thing up, some of those big old racked mods will run ya off with yer tail between yer legs. This guy can shoot the holes in the bottom of his own boat - I'm sure of it. (And shoot more holes to let the water out, too!) |
RE: rediculas
Mad, I suppose that I should not waste my time pointing out how contradictory and absurd your statements are since you’re doing a far better job of proving that than I could ever hope to do.
|
RE: rediculas
I truly dont want re-open a squabling(sp) match, (even though this has been very entertaining to read-first thing in the morning- but- to the original post, --times change, animals seem to be more warry of us hunters. I personally feel that being safe, warm and able to enjoy my hunting time, well im going to do whatever i can afford to, to do so. My new hunting partner more then likely will see many changes as he grows up, as so will the rest of us. The most important thing to respect other hunters( for we all need to stick together) and the game in which he will be pursuing. Enjoy!!

RE: rediculas
OK, now we're getting somewhere. webejonesin, I feel is absolutely correct with his statement and factual backup that times are indeed achanging. They always have, and always will, constantly. The animals do evolve to adapt to their surroundings. Little by little, constantly.
I think when I look at old pictures (not color pics) of deer hunters with the deer hanging on a pole, they look darker to me than they appear to me today. (I'm talking IL & midwest deer). I know each generation very gradually passes on little "change orders" to their offspring, evolving at every opportunity. What I am absolutely nuts curious about is how the body fills the change orders within itself before mating (w/ other bodies which have done change orders) and BOOM - IT'S EVOLVED (even if ever so slightly). Very, very cool. But let's get back to our new guest, Mabdoarnam. I feel I know what is started out to say. It was quite simply - hunting IS NOT as it used to be when his Gramps was showing him the ropes. And that is, as jonesin affirms by his post, absolutely true. And for the reasons both he (and now I) state. But the rest of it? Going hunting on others land and no one cared. Clothing. Weaponry. Stands. Boots. The deer are smarter today than back in the day. But that just makes em REAL smart cause they were probobly never "dumb". Notice I said the pictures of deer hanging on a pole? That's because back then (in the day) it was very, very difficult to get a pic the likes of all the bruisers plastered over everything today. (some completely fake and many others w/ computer "enhancements", I might add. Scenerio: Uncle Matt likes his 2005 Dodge 4-door 4X4 w/ Cummins diesel power. It gets him to work, around town. He can grab his 12 gauge Browning Gold Stalker, put on his Scent-Lock coverall & $300 boots, jump in, and go to the deer woods and back with a deer or two in the bed. Gramps likes his 1932 Ford 2-door w/a 4-popper. It gets him to church, the VA hospital, bingo, social security office, funerals. He can grab his Winchester 12 gauge, leave his Carharts & Redwing boots on, jump in, and go to the deer woods and back with a deer or two in the back. Either way - they both get the job done, right? I think I'll agree with Madman on the fact that for those of us who have hunted with our gramdfathers - we'd all love to share another with him. |
RE: rediculas
HA HA HA, I can't believe you fulltime losers are still going on about this thread. HA, I thought you were losers for posting about hunting in a stand ALL day. But 6 pages and counting, good grief, GET A LIFE.
Just for your information smarty, I have killed every deer dead in its tracks, if you don't believe it then a. I could care less. b. you must be one of the idiots I talked about not being able to hit the damn ground if you fell of the front porch of your trailor home. I grew up with the old heads. I shoot to kill and eat what I kill. I can't afford to missa hunt like most of the careless idiots out there do. But keep on blabbing, I bet this thing goes 20 plus pages. HA HA HA. |

I'm not exactly sure what your problem is, But i do know that we on here are not a bunch of idiots! As fas as spending to much time here, well lets see, you evidently dont have any thing better to do because youhad the time to come read "all 6 pages"(talk about free time). This is one of our hobbies. Just like your bodybuiling. If anyone should grow up it truly ought to be you! IE.=
Pure unabulteraded inbread language. Wa sir, I ges I'll hafta bahav frum na on. I reckon I reckon dis webpage thingy is vary impotant to mee. ==(sounds preety childish to me) As far as this sight goes, Yes we all get along here, thats what a family(all of us hunters) do! - Know tell us exactly what is wrong with this!! People all over have the rght to veiw this sight, personally would be rather ripped if we couldnt come here any longer, people like you are what is going to ruin it for the rest of us. YES, the moderators here will make it so you cannot show up here, if that is what they see fit. I enjoy sitting here reading differant posts. There are alot of really great knowledge in all of them other minds out there, just waiting for someone esle. I know this, because i've been helped by many of them!! Have a nice day!:) |
RE: rediculas
dont worry jonesin2, i clicked on report, hey i finallyknow what a ticket is, BTWi can stand him being an idiot, but i would notwant mine or anybody elses8-12 year old son reading this garbage, either its gone or i will be, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior, clearly outside the rules of decent conduct
see ya madboar |
RE: rediculas
I'm not sure that i should have used what he had posted, because i dont want to get booted myself, I just dont agree with what he was saying/doing. Like you said 8- 12 yr old kids truly dont need to be reading this. My 11 yr old goes thru this sight with me, I wouldnt want him reading it. I enjoy being here, the people are really great. Ya from time to time we all may get into some warm topics, but it doesnt get out of line like the this post has. Thnks.:D

RE: rediculas
jonesin, i don't believe you got anything to worry about, but this guy has gone over the edge, callin each other stupid is one thing but the vulgarity and profanity is tooo much for me, clearly outside the code of conduct allowed[&o], i bet his grandfather would really be proud now, the post actually started out pretty good, but like mentioned before when you get on here and step on folks toes, you might as well get ready for them to jump on yors[:@], btw it is funny how people that will get on here and act in a decent manner will put there name and area in, not all but most, and the trouble makers want to hide behind the secrecy (sp) of cyber stealth, my name is in my profile and the area, and if you read enough of my post you can even find what town i live outside of with a whoppping pop. of 640
madboar name is listed as q qq, and check out the sig I'm not here to blow smoke up peoples butt. Or to make money off people. I am here to tell the truth and to tell things like they really are. OK |
RE: rediculas
Thnks m.t., for the words of encourgement. As far as profiles go, the town i live in is visible(as seen). but im not hear to start a war with anyone. just to enjoy. Thnks again.:)

RE: rediculas
Ah the sound of gun season starting up. Boom boom boom, when all the idiots get out their little guns that they've spent a whole months salary on while working at the local factory. Then they get a bunch of drunk buddies, usually about 5-10 and they will all shoot about 10 boxes of shells (per gun) at a paper target 50 yards away. And then can't figure out why in the hell they can't hit it. THEN to top it off they do it at the right time of day, the time of day when everyone that is bow hunting is still in the woods. I don't know why they bother, they won't be killing anything when rifle season gets here, hell they will shoot just as many times at one deer 500 yards away and still think they could have hit it. I don't know which is worse, ...Deleted by CalHunter... I have living next door. We live in the country and there is a wall of trees between them and us. Not to mention they are about 100 yards away, voice of theirs. Ya ya wanna pop.

RE: rediculas
real quick find here people....this is madboarman's 2nd post here.....
"I think I've used just about everything deer hunting. I haven't used these. They are the spikes that connect on the sides of your boot, like the guys that work for the electric company use. Anyone know anything about these? If they work and are safe?" he is talking about a tree climber from cabela's. I also found this one, thought it was funny too.... first notice an excerpt from his post beginning this thread "Stand, oh yes deer stands, my grandfather never hunted out of a stand, he would set up against a tree. If he ever did hunt out of a stand, he built one in a tree himself. Now days people walking into a woods for deer hunting are packing so much ****, it lookes like they are going to hike up the Hymalyan moutains. " and now....here is what he posted in another thread. "well I was but now I think I am going to keep it. I don't even think they make the regular viper anymore, this thing is a classic LOL. If I remember it weighs 14 pounds, I don't see any summit weighing that light anymore LOL. I could be wrong though. I like it I just don't like have to set it up, take it down, hauling into and out of the woods. I am a pretty big guy but after walking over knee high beans, swating misqitos, it 100 degrees outside, i get pretty tired of it." here he is talkin about his summit viper he was gonna sell....which is located in the classified section. |
RE: rediculas
Like I said, my guess is that he is indeed a body builder or body builder wannabee (probably a wanabee, like everything else in his life). My guess is that he takes a poorly designed mixture of supplements and steroids and has the steroid rage and also the testicular atrophy. That would explain a lot, that and the fact it looks like he either dropped out or flunked out of middle school, likely because of low intelligence. But all of this is just a guess ... I don't know the guy.

Quotes removed by dh56 to prevent younger folks from reading....[:o] i would have deleted the whole thread reason being is now people will think it is acceptable behavior to carry on like that till you get in trouble, in that i am very dissapointed, not telling ya'll how to do your jobs, which BTW i think ya'll do a great job of, but this however should be gone also, in complience with rules # Then they get a bunch of drunk buddies 6. RE: rediculas
I have climbed into a tree, sat on a limb, and hunted for deer. I realized that it was very risky. One time I climbed up in this tree, in the morning dark, I hung my rifle (unloaded) from a stump of a branch by the rifle sling. The cruddy old branch stump -- which I could not see well in the dark -- broke off and my rifle fell off into the dark. My partner who was helping me up the tree caught the rifle -- preventing damage to his noggin and to my rifle. Sitting in the tree, I felt that if I made a mistake -- and at 49 years of age I have a healthy respect for my capacity to make errors and having things not go 100% according to plan -- I was liable to pitch out of the tree head-first and likely break my freakin' neck. That was my last hunt sitting on the branch of a tree.
I support anyone's wish to hunt as they want to. I think some people go overboard buying gadgets. I have gone overboard myself sometimes buying gadgets. I sure have more hunting knives than I can use. I've got a Buck 110, a Gerber Gator, a Schrade something or other, a Jim Zumbo Elk Knife, an old Marbles hunting knife, and maybe one or two others I'm not remembering. I've got face camo that I used once only and stopped using after I got the face camo smeared on the stock of my rifle and on my cell phone and after I spent a lot more time than I wanted to cleaning off my face and STILL didn't get all the face camo off. I have a buck grunt tube that has not worked for me. You get the idea. I wear camo pants and shirt. Might as well -- my pair of camo pants was $24, which is cheaper than a pair of Levi's. But who cares? So what. People go overboard about all sorts of things. Who is perfect? I also find it questionable that one has hunted for years and never missed and that the deer always drops right in its tracks. I have heard that deer that are heart shot often times run off at a high rate of speed for as much as 50 yards before dropping dead -- blown up heart. "Never miss, deer drops dead in its tracks every time" sounds a little over simplified. |
