Default The bites

Hey october 1 was our opening of IL season. I hunt in a swampy area and to be totally honest i almost left earlie due to all the misquetos. I recieved soo many bites my face was swollen. I used a bug repellent/earth sent spray and it did nothing. I'd like to hear what you guys use and if any of you had similar problems. I havent seen them this bad for ages.

you start hunting and you suck, you keep doing it till you dont suck

Best thing I could suggest would be to get yourself one of the bug proof suits on the market.

DAILY, im not sure what works but i would use something with deets in it and try and avoid the swamps--due mostly to the west nile virus that is contacted through mosquitoe bites. not sure if you have the virus in your area though but i would be careful. they recomend deets for the insect repellant to rid off west nile virus. plus in some areas there is now the threat of malaria --also contacted through mosquito bites. good luck, annie.

I use a head net that I bought at cabelas for about 8 dollars since iwear a heavy shirt rubber boots and gloves I had no trouble. The only problem was that the net cuts down your vision a small amount, bout is better than mos. bits
