It sucks, totally a waste of money. But I am one person who hasn't had any luck with it and yet it is too early for Doe Urine. Try some Vinilla Extract. I have had many deer come to Tink Canister bombs full of the stuff in early season. I also have killed two nice bucks coming to check out the area for the sweet scent.

They never work for me but my cousin was hunting Northern New Hampshire 2 years ago in 10" of snow and he put a drag line with #69 and turned around and had a nice 8 trotting right up to him with its nose right down on the boot tracks.

Guess I'll have to try that.Always looking for a new angle. The only cover scent I've ever used isscent shield fall blend.
Mike,

Take my comments with a grain of salt. When I say "cover scent" I don't mean that I apply it to myself or my gear. I place it in canisters around the stand to blanket the area with a "calming effect" not necessarily to cover my scent on my body or equipment.

Sounds to me like you may have touched it and they caught that scent. I still think its too early to use attractants.

Pre-Rut I just keep free to scent. When rut starts and just before I use # 69 and it always works good.

A guy I know, in pre-rut, used to open a can a sardines and leave at the tree bottom before getting into the stand. He said it works real good.

Generally in the early season, any of the strong scents will spook them. I do use tinks though and have had good results with it, usually the 69 during the rut.

Sardines also attract Racoons, Possums, Skunks, Foxes
and Bob Cats!
