Best place to store my deer clothing
This might sound like a very dumb question but with being my first year of hunting I am not sure if I should store my hunting gear with my other clothing because of scent.I am going to be using some of this clothing for geese but I thought I would ask. It is something that popped in my headafter I just bought my first jacket and this weekend I am going for some extra gear.
Thanks

After you wash them in scent free detergent I would suggest hanging them outside to air out and dry. Then store them ina tupperware-style container with something that smells "woodsy"....pine cones for example.

I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but I have a tupperware box. In side that box I have a huge contractors garbage bag. I keep all my hunting stuff like clothes in that bag (in the box) with some of those scent discs from Wal-Mart. They supposedly smell like dirt. I also keep them washed in that scent free detergent.
One of the biggest reasons I do that is because my truck leaks tranny fluid and everything inside will smell like burnt tranny fluid.
I don't think you're question is dumb at all. I'd like to have more discussion on this myself.

RE: Best place to store my deer clothing
I take my hunting clothes out from their plastic bin (large bin like you would buy at Walmart or Target) in August, hang them outside to 'freshen-out'. Then back into the plastic bin and in the back of my Tahoe for the rest of the season. I fold my shirt, jacket, pants and hat into a large plastic bag with a string to seal the bag. Inside the bag I put in a few dried leaves from some trees and some dried twigs for that wood-sie scent.
I liek the idea of keeping extra socks, gloves, clothes, etc. all in this one plastic bin and in my truck. You never know when you until you arrive to your hunting location when you'd like to have an extra shirt to put on or rain gear or whatever. Plus, at the end of your hunt these clothes find their way back into the same place for your next hunt and if you have any ticks they won't spread into your home, etc.
