Best advice I can give is to set your stand up on a main trail to the Oaks. You need to also do some scouting..... Just one baggie of acorns is not going to bring them in....doubt it anyway.
They are smart and will know that acorns are not in that particular area, may not touch them.

Do some scouting to set up on their feeding route.

You'd also have to check your state's baiting regs , it might be illegal .

Hi; Last fall I loaded up 6, 50 pound brown paper corn bags full of acorns thinking to do this exact thing. First mistake was to close the top of each bag----they all started to sprout in the bag.... Then I opened them up to let air in and they were just fine until them there little critters called mice and chipmunks decied to chew thru the bottom of the bags and start depositing them all over my garage....I'm still finding them in areas you'd never think of them being. I went to put the pool filter pump on the pool this spring and low and behold it was completely full of acorns. they had crawled up the hose and into the filter. So if you're going to keep acorns In the garage I would for sure put them in a metal garbage can they can't chew through. I've had 2 hard plastic storage bins eaten through so they could get at my corn also.....they got some serious teeth on them.....

I have seen deer eat acorns from one tree and not the one next to it. I wouldn't waste my timefor thefact that they may not desire those certain ones. LIke stated above I would set up around an oak stand.

Its illegal to bait cervids in MB, I keep them in 5gal pails until the end of season and then deposit them through the spring. I only put themon spots that have oak trees. Figure I would give the does a good start to pregnancy and the bucks much needed nourishment after the rut. The CO's don't reccommened the feeding of cervids but its not illegal.
