RE: Catch and Release Hunting?
I think this is a bad concept (almost as rediculous as catching a deer in a net for breeding:eek:) . Vets and biologists doing this is one thing, but simply disabling a live animal for the sake of meeting a need for a thrill can't be a good thing.
Hunting ispart of the cycle of life, something that must happen in a natural world unlike ours. I would think sportsmen hunt so that they can take part in what was once completely necessary. In my opinion, every hunter should not only kill their deer, but should at least once in their lifehave the experience of field dressing it and completely butchering it on their own, so that when they eat it, they've done the whole cycle. Now of course I don't think you HAVE to do the whole process, but I think it would be good for every sportsman to do at least once. That way, I think one would be less supportive of an idea like this. Would that not just be taking our authority over animals too far? Taking them for some use makes plain sense. Putting them on ground just to take a picture and poke around makes no sense. Just my thoughts. |
