A couple of years ago I was fishing for steelhead (freshwater version) on the Black River in Coventry Vt on opening day. We were just below a large set of falls fishing a long deep hole with about 50 other guys. All of a sudden I could see something coming down over the rapids of the rain swollen river and you guessed it a deer was going end over end through the rapids. It dumped out in the pool swam over to the side and ran away all to the amazement of the fishermen. Everyone let out a cheer when it climbed the bank and scampered off. Wish I had my camera.

nyorange, that's hilarious. It is pretty amazing that deer can swim so good though, with those little hooves and all. Imagine tryingto swim with your hands and feet cut off
