Horntagger, I remember seeing something about someone using a slug gun on buffalo--that's bison--on a refuge out West, and hitting one at 125 yards, and it going maybe 20-30 yards before dropping. Don't remember which slugs, but I want to say Winchester Supremes (not the Platinum Tip, though). Don't quite remember which slug gun, but it was a bolt-action, so it had to be a Marlin, a Savage, or a Mossberg . . .
