Default Labor Day hunt?

i might be hunting the weekend of the kentucky bow openner(labor day weekend) and i was wondering what type of hunting i should be doing. i've never hunted the early season much so i'm kinda lost. i thought it would be too early for rattling and scents sooooooooo.... any help would be well helpful. thanks.

I don't think the acorns will be dropping yet.

Food, water if it's been dry, but look for fresh scrapes and rubs. There should be plenty. If you bump a buck he most likely will circle around and come back so watch that way. If you get in there undercover be ready, the action should come fast.

that's about all our farm is. it's all corn, wheat and soy beans. the area that i'm thinking about hunting is just off of a field about twenty yards into some white oaks with shooting agles into the field and into the woods and the travel corridors to and from the field. would that be a good spot to be in????
