Never actually tried this but I've heard it works. Take a spray bottle fill it with soapy water and a good dose of hot sauce. Spray whatever the deer are eating. The soap will leave a film even after the water dries. When they nibble the sprayed plant or veggie the hotsauce burns their mouth and they stop. After a while they learn not to fool with it. Of course you will need to wash off any edible fruit or vegetable you harvest to prevent giving yourself the same treatment but heck you should be washing all of it anyway.

WE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS ..WE CUT UP ABOUT 10 BARS OF IRISH SPRING SOAP AND SPREAD IT AROUND IN THE GARDEN ....ONCE IT RAINS IT WILL MELT INTO THE GROUND ...THE SMELL WILL MAKE THE DEER THINK THERE IS A HUMAN AROUND AND THEY WILL LEAVE IT ALONE ...I HEAR MOTH BALLS WORK TO BUT THIS HAS WORKED GREAT FOR US.

Easy...invite me over to hunt a couple. I'll set up nice and early and hunt the garden for 2 weeks straight...I guarantee not one single deer will show up. Believe me it works every stinkin' season for me.

This may sound strange but I have been told by a family in Maine that it really works...
It's very simple...Tie old dirty socks near the garden. They don't necessarily have to be in view for everyone to see. Leave them there until the next day's socks are ready and simply alternate them before washing. That way the human (foot) odor is always fresh, especially during inclement weather....

I've heard that paintballs work well. But if you don't want to do that consider a scarecrow.

Ya and before you use them .....frezze them makes a good WHOMP when it hits there ass. And if it does break you marked the deer as a repeat offender......heheh

Go to Sportsman's Guide and do a search for Plotsaverâ„¢ . They have a small kit there for about $50 just for small gardens . You can buy just the repellent for about $25 and put it on scent wicks left over from hunting , or cotton balls in small cans .
