i have an area of land that i've hunted hogs and turkey on. i've seen both on the land but i'm not sure if they're deer on the property. a friend of mine thinks that there are. i just wanted to know if ya'll had any suggestions on how to find out? i'm working on building a feeder to put up and i was thinking about also buying a cheap scouting camera to watch the feeder. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

first and easiest sign i look for is droppings,
pile means doe, scattered means buck,
among other signs i look for are scrapes and rubs,
also how is the layout,?
food? water? bedding areas?

a friend of mine and i looked around some and he says that we found a rub. he's probably right he knows what he's talking about. the area where i think there are deer has pretty open pine, with very thick thickets, with easy access to a shallow lime pit that holds a good bit of water.

no, i've never deer hunted in florida. i usually just hunt hogs and turkey on private land down here. i deer hunt up in kentucky, but we found a little deer sign and i thought since it was like 15 miles from me on private land it would be worth a shot.

Deer Love the feeling of mud on their feet. So what you sould do is take a little section about 10' ft by 10' ft and turn all the soil over and then just sit back and wait for them to come. Its a great way to see whats on your land.
